Austurey Cottages offers privacy and unobstructed views. Located in Austurey 1 by lake Apavatn, near the town Laugarvatn.
The sleeping area contains a ready-made double bed (160cm) which leads to a private bathroom with a shower. The bathroom is fitted with a shower, free toiletries, and a hairdryer.
The cottages include bed linen, towels, a flat-screen TV, a dining area, and a fully equipped kitchenette.
The living room contains a a sofa where guests can relax and enjoy the view over the lake as well as the surrounding mountains and volcanoes Hekla and Eyjafjallajökull.
In front of each house is a heated veranda with private garden furniture and barbecue facilities (gas grill).
Guests are welcome to visit Austurey’s sheep shed by agreement (November- May). Lake Apavatn is ideal for fishing (February- September).
Thriving birdlife is by the lake and therefore a great location for bird watching.
Austurey is a perfect location to view the northern lights, due to limited light
contamination.
